Irene Millaway

Nancy Irene Millaway, of Tullahoma, passed this life on Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 at her residence at the age of 98. Mrs. Millaway was born in Meigs County Tennessee to the late George and Samantha Lawson Whitmire. During her life, she worked as a cook for the Top Stop Market and was the oldest member of Rutledge Falls Baptist Church. She was by nature a caretaker and adored her great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James "Thomas" Millaway; four sisters, Juanita Collins, Beatrice Baker, Frances Gilliam, and Faye Doney; one brother, George "Whit" Whitmire; one grandson, Curtis Millaway Jr.; daughter-in-law, Delores Millaway, and son-in-law, Harold Daniel. Mrs. Millaway is survived by one daughter, Joan Daniel of Tullahoma; two sons, Curtis Millaway of Tullahoma and Kenneth Millaway and his wife Linda of Manchester; one brother, Ray Whitmire of Tullahoma; and nine grandchildren, Amy Freeze and her husband Jason of Manchester, Michael Daniel and his wife Tina of Manchester, Patricia Norwood and her husband Kent of Estill Springs, Pam Stage of Tullahoma, Melissa Parson and her husband James of Manchester, Paige Brock and her husband Eric of Manchester, Kyle Millaway and his wife Callie of Manchester, Gina Meline and her husband Jeremy of South Carolina, and Melissa Deuermeyer and her husband Jason of Manchester; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Millaway will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 at Kilgore Funeral Home from 5:00-9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3rd, 2013 at 11:30am in the Kilgore Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Houston and Bro. Donald Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
